Allow mentors to edit their mentorship projects

I would like to be able to edit the description of my own projects. Right now I have to bug @Nate_Waddington to make changes.

Normally I would raise this as a separate bug, but:

The link “View Repository”, which takes you to the GitHub issue for an LFX mentorship is a little understated (f.ex. on Mentorship). Most of the information I want people to see before applying is currently on this page, but I don’t think applicants are likely to think it’s important to read it before applying. I’m already getting candidates contact me that suggests they did not find this page. Could this be improved or made more prominent? It’s not a link to “view repository”, but a link to “view the project’s issue”.

Hi Craig,

Thank you for your feedback.

  1. Q: I would like to be able to edit the description of my own projects. Right now I have to bug @Nate_Waddington to make changes.

A: It is technically possible for Mentor to edit description of my own projects, but it is currently disabled on permission level as that was the requirements for this product. Please file a request for this permission change and we can evaluate it to get you to correct permissions needed to do this self-service.

A: Please provide more details on this with specific suggestions how we can improve this as it’s a bit unclear from the above. Is this an issue with the ‘posting’ of the mentorship or more you’d like for the mentee to review the link ‘View Repository’ as it’s an important part of the candidates process to review prior to applying? Or something else? Thank you!
