Participate in LFX the second time

Hi,
I read on the mentee guidelines that one cannot apply to an LFX mentorship if they have been previously accepted to an mentorship. This seems fair but there are “mentorships” like “Linux Kernel Bug fixing 2023” which is unpaid and is nothing like the other mentorships. There is minimal collaboration and has very high chances of failing for a participant.
Is it possible to which from such mentorship midway and apply to another.

@Chaitan maybe we should we get in touch with the project admin here for this? Would this decision be up to who’s running the mentorship for the project?
