Managing Employee Contributions with Employee Management Module

Employee Management Module

Over the past couple of months, we’ve spoken with OSPO leaders to better understand how their organizations manage and participate in open source. One of their ongoing challenges is managing and staying on top of employee engagement and participation across all of their open source projects.

The new Employee Management Module in Organization Dashboard addresses many of these challenges and it allows verified organization administrator(s) to view the employees participating in LF open source projects and actively manage their roles. • Simple user experience to invite and designate employees as Admins, Key Contacts, Project Memberships, and other roles
  • Export employee lists as a CSV file
  • Filter by Project to view employee profiles and their associated roles across LF projects

Accessing Employee Management

This is the first of several posts on Employee Management. In this post, we will focus on primary navigation, how to use the filters, update employee project participation and view the projects in which employees are actively engaged.

As you become familiar with this module, you will find multiple ways to edit, filter, and view employee engagement. In this post, we will highlight some critical features of Employee Management.

Step 3: Filter by role type to view employee profile cards.

Then click on View Profile to view their project contribution information on the right side of the dashboard.

Step 4: View Project- Select the project from the drop down menu and access employee information based on the project.

Step 5: Download Employee List
You can download or export a list of employees in a CSV file. To download the employee list, click the download icon. A CSV file with a list of employees will be downloaded to the local system.

Step 6: The Add New Employee(s) dialog appears. Enter the Recipient’s email ID and click the Send Invitation button.
